Haruko Mizumi

Name: Haruko Mizumi (I'm using the last name first like the Japanese do)

Age: 18

Hair: Waist long, blueish black, usually tied up in a bun or a ponytail.

Eyes: Deep blue.

Personality: Polite, rather quiet, but curious and questioning. Doesn't usually speak out against people, and is very respectful to her peers.

Clothing: Casually, jeans, a blouse or T-shirt and jewelry, but when teaching, she wears kimonos, a different one each time, as well as tabi and traditional sandals.

Pokémon: Jinx (Vaporeon), Haru (Ivysaur), Flare (Ponyta, Kokou (Seaking), Hama (Lapras), Juudai (Pidgeotto).

History: She was raised on a shrine, her parents intending her to become a Miko, so she is deeply into traditional Japanese life.

When she was young, her grandparents would take her to a secret lake that was connected to the ocean every once in a while, and it was there she fell into the lake while her grandparents were sleeping on the beach, and she nearly drowned , being pulled her by ocean currents.

She was saved, however, by a Vaporeon, who brought her to shore, and when her grandparents had made sure she was all right and were taking her home, the Vaporeon followed, and Mizumi decided to keep her and name her Jinx.

When she was sixteen, she started battling with Jinx, and caught other Pokémon, which her parents disaproved of since they wanted her to be a Miko, and she left her Pokémon go to follow her parents wishes, but they all stayed in the garden, never leaving.

So, on her seventeenth birthday she re-caught all her Pokémon, she a rather hasty and curt farewell to her parents and grandmother (her grandfather having died the previous year), and set out for the Kanto region.

After getting eight gym badges from Kanto, but being unable to defeat the Pokémon league, she came to the island when she heard about a mysterious school, hoping to better her skills and someday defeat the league.

A Miko is a priestess. I don't know much about Japanese religious stuff, but I watch a lot of Inuyasha.

This web site has a much more stable idea though.

It was actually Julea's (Normal-Type) idea to have the different teachers for each type.

So...Basically if it wasn't for her, the site would still be in shambles. =/
