Fun at the Beach

Narakun didn't turn to Miyhika and Yuri's converstion; she just smirked, imagining the carefree, hyper girl Yuri getting a headache from eating too much snow.

I remember first seeing snow... Narakun thought distantly. It was about a week after I ran away, when I was crossing the mountain range....

She thought about how she had plunged right onto the snow, only to find it deep and freezing cold, and how she had sunk waist deep into it, yelping at the sudden chill.

Aima herself had never liked the cold.

When she lived in the mountains, Miroku would always keep her warm during those harsh mountain winters, his huge wing shielding her from the cold.

He had escaped with her from the facility.

All her siblings had a Pokémon, Aima having received him as a Charmander when she was only four.

Miyhika sighed, smiling. Then her smile faded.

Snow had been fun. But she remembered her first time in the water, where she nearly drowned. Living in the desert all her life, she didn't know how to swim.

Ryu Kaze had saved her. He'd been her first Pokemon....she'd gotten him when she was six. He was just a little Dratini then.....

As if reacting to her memories, Ryu dove down into the water, and leaped out again, making a huge splash, soaking all the people on the rock.

Miyhika gasped. "Ryu!" she scowled. "If your going to jump, do it AT LEAST a hundred feet away."

Aima, soaking now, gave a loud, heavy growl, and shook herself off like a dog, getting the others wetter than they already were.

Tired of getting splashed, Aima seemed to randomly pull out an umbrella, now prepared for any other splash that may come.

Miyhika almost smiled. Almost.

At least I'm in my bathing suit," she thought.

Kitsune hissed at Ryu. Ryu bowed his head, ashamed. He swam off.

Kitsune stared after him, disdainfully, and then settled back down to dry off in the fading sun.

Aim sighed, the boredom settling in again.

"Now what?" She said, ruining the moment.

Kaguya snarled a bit, then calmed down to nap in the warm rays of the quickly setting sun.

Narakun brushed off the water disdainfully, but didn't scold Ryu.

At Aima's question, she shrugged. "I dunno," she said expressionlessly.

She smirked in an EXTREMELY mishievious way.

"Well, there's always..."

Narakun leaped up, and shoved Aima head-first from her comfortable sitting position into the water.

The only mistake that could have been any worse, would have been to directly pour water on an open wound.

The fact that it was salt water only made it worse.

In an immediate reaction, Aima threw out her hands, and landed in the water, fully immersed for a split second.

After that, all logic was out the window.

Steam seemed to flow from every inch of her as she stood up, her eyes now having a reddish hue, and she turned on Narakun as she gave an almost demonic roar, fangs beared, swiping at her with her suddenly fearsome claws extended in a Slash attack, almost too fast for the untrained reflexes.

Aima could use moves, but she almost never used Slash, for mysterious reasons.

Narakun yelped, partly in play and partly in fear, and tried to evade. She was very fast, and if Aima had merely been trying to scratch her instead of using an actual Slash attack, she would've been more than fast enough to dodge, but this was a Slash attack.

A sudden snarl was heard, and the next thing anyone saw was that Kaguya had also used Slash and her scythe was pressing against Aima's claws, their power matched.

Kaguya's red eyes burned fiercly, boring down into Aima's.

Aima snarled back, her passion now at full force.

She grabbed Kaguya's scythe tightly, and yanked hard, attempting to throw her out of the way.

She gave a final snarl at Narakun, her eyes lock locked with hers, narrowed in anger, before the steam floating away every inch of her body, seemed to drain her of all her power, and she collapsed.

Her pulse was fading fast, steam still trailing off of her.

Yuri cried. "Aima!"

She ran up and pressed her fingers to her old friends neck.

"The pulse is fading fast...." she murmured.

Yuri took her hands, and held them over Aima's neck. A warm glow surrounded Aima's body; Yuri was healing her.

Narakun couldn't help but stare. She hadn't known that Aima could get so mad over just getting wet. And Yuri...Just healing her like that. Narakun could have easily done so if she had medication; she had learned much about healing, and actually could have easily qualified as a nurse at a Pokemon Center if she applied. Of course, she didn't, though.

She looked at Yuri cautiously. "Is...Is she gonna be okay?" Narakun asked, only sounding curious, but she was really actually worrying about Aima, enen though she'd hadn't even cared about anyone else since she had ran away. "I didn't think she could be so upset just from getting wet...Or that she could just fry up like that. Burn up like that."

Mikala walked out onto the sand. She was wearing her purple bikini with a light purple almost see through dress and she was holding a clear purse that inside had sunblock a towel, her cell phone, and the keys to her dorm. She also had her boogie board with her and an ABC store shopping bag that had food inside.

She wiggled her toes into the sand and said,"Ah..the beach." Mikala said. She headed straight out and as she got out further, she saw Narakun, Yuri, Miyhika, and.."Is that Aima?" Mikala asked herself. She saw her glowing and laying down. Mikala ran out to them. When she got there she asked, "Is everything okay here?"

((Uh, ya know sumthin'? We're out on a deserted island, not on the beach! >_<))

In a sudden flash of red light, Miroku let himself out of his Pokéball, sensing that Aima was in trouble.

He towered at a good solid 13 Feet, as he threw his wing over Aima, and gave a deafening roar to all who surrounded him, warning them to stay away. Or else.

Just a few minutes ago, Hitorii turned the corner to reveal the current scenario.

He'd already dried off after getting wet, and he held his big straw hat on his head, silvery white hair gently getting tossed around in the light breeze.

"Oh my." He said, suddenly concerned as he observed the scene before him. "This can't be good."

He saw Narakun push her into the water, the literally steaming Aima's sudden strike at Narakun, Kaguya's block of protection, and Aima carelessly throwing her aside by grabbing her scythe

"Just as I thought..." He thought to himself, having expected this outcome.

Then, all of the sudden, Aima seemed to be weighed down, and she collapsed.

"Hakoistu!" Hitorii said, in urgency, the massive beast already moving forward as if reading his mind.

Then, a Charizard seemed to materialize out of nowhere, bearing it's great wing over Aima and giving a blood-curdling roar of anger.

Hitorii was unphased as she jumped off Hakoistu's head and landed on the rock behind Miroku.

Miroku turned to Hitorii, and uttered an low, spine chilling growl, wanting no further harm to come to his comrade...his friend.

"ENOUGH!" He yelled, his voice suddenly as loud and fearsome as crashing waves.

Hitorii had never raised his voice in front of anyone outside of his family, let alone any of the new teachers.

It was quite a shock for the calm and peaceful Hitorii to suddenly be violent.

Miroku, startled by the sheer force of this human's willpower, stopped in mid-growl, eyes locked with Hitorii's.

"Please," Hitorii said, "We're only trying to help. I know you can't take care of her, not like this."

As he spoke, he pondered what he'd have to do with all this.

"I'm going to need to have a talk with Narakun." He thought, saddened that they hadn't begun to work together yet.

Miroku hesitated.

He was sincere, he could tell, Pokémon somehow just had a way of knowing.

But still...

He turned his head back to Narakun, and growled again, as if to say: "If you even touch a hair on Aima's head, I'll rip you apart, and burn what's left."

Which he actually DID say, but in Pokémon language, so she wouldn't have known what he said anyway.

But Miroku was sure she understood what he meant. Clearly.

Miyhika looked at Miroku.

She spoke in Pokemon language:

"Calm, Miroku. Let me look at her; Yuri's healing powers have rarely failed, but seeing as Aima's chemical makeup is....well, not quite the same as the rest of us, there might be difficulties."

Miroku had met Miyhika once before.

For a moment, he took his eyes off the rest of the group to look down at Aima.

He knew what was wrong, he'd seen it happen before.

Reluctantly, he growled in reply: "She needs special treatment. Regular tactics are too dangerous. Translate for me, Miyhika."

((Aih, I'm so stupid!! >_< I forgot about Aima's history when I typed that message, and I thought that it'd just be fun to be half-evil for a second, and Aima was the only one who hadn't gotten in the water at all... DX I'M SO STUUUUUUPIIIIIIIIID!!!!!))
