Neither Jaffar nor Raven noticed the roiling destruction. They focused only on their battle.

But Durandal saw it, as he came out to the battlefield along with Blancandrin, Stella, and two others- A white-robed old man and a man in elaborate leather armor and wearing a large baldric. The former carried a gold staff, the latter a bow.

Theas' master fell to the ground. All the soldier lied limply on the battlefield.

Jaffar and Raven continued their battle, although Raven was driving Jaffar away from the Academy.

Durandal surveyed what had just happened.

"Did they just..."
"No." The white-robed man interrupted. "I don't think they're dead."

All of the men once again rose. They began to rush to the Raikou dorms.

"Let us give chase!" Uriah said. His companions, including Durandal, agreed and did so.

They turned and began to fire upon their pursuers.

They scattered and hid before Renault waved his hand and they vanished.

The men ran over to a nearby helicopter. They boarded their helicopters nad left for the mountain.

Uriah and Stella emerged from hiding.

"We cannot follow. We have more pressing needs." Uriah said.

Stella nodded. She had an idea of what he meant.

They both vanished.
