Shinichi

((Lol, I'm awesome at these title names, aren't I?))

A possessed Shin had stumbled into the barren Yumigata Rocks. He was fighting against himself in a mental battle, and tried to get himself to the most barren place, so he wouldn't hurt anyone.

((Note: Shin has two personalities. The one you all know is Shin 2, while this one (the sane one) is Shin 1. So when they're both talking to each other, I'll be putting down Shin 1 and Shin 2. Note they can also talk together in Shin's head, so no one else can hear this.))

"What...what do you want?!" Shin 2 cried out to the other person standing in front of him.

"I want my BODY back. I've finally built up enough willpower to gain control back." Shin 1 said, his lip curling into a snarl.

"You're..overloading the energy levels...just to gain control? Heh. What happens if you fail? The body dies then!" Shin 2 cackled, and bent into an attacking position.

"So be it. I'd rather be dead then have YOU in control." Shin 1 growled, and fell into the same position. "My only regret would be not seeing Kaen-niisan, Ryou-chan, and the others again" He leaped at the other Shinichi.

Mental Battle

"ARRHHHHH" Shin 1 bellowed, and sent a gigantic energy sphere flying. He unhitched Musei's Pokeball, and pressed a secret button. Musei was released from it, and he and Shin 1 started glowing. "SOUL SYNCHRO!" he shouted, and the the Dusknoir and real Shinichi were engulfed in a violet flame. The flame died, and stood a Shinichi-Dusknoir combination. Shinichi's torso became a pitch-black color, and his head, arms, and feet became a lighter gray. A third eye opened up, with the eyeball being black, a blood-colored iris, and a even darker red pupil. He let out a hiss, and swung another energy sphere.

"Going to the main fight already?" the other Shinichi sneered, "Well, aren't you a weakling." he cackled, and fired an energy disk. The real Shinichi's third eye glowed, crimson colored energy spheres formed and ricocheted around the fake Shinichi.

Yumigata Rocks

Kaen and Arashi grew out of the earth as Ryo and Satoru jumped off of Ryoka and Kotetsu. They returned their respective flier, and looked at the body of Shinichi curled over, snarling. All of the sudden, energy spheres went flying everywhere. The four of them ducked, and Kaen ordered

"Ryo, see if you can pin Shin down, if we can get him to stop moving around, the only danger we'll be in are his energy discharges. Arashi, Satoru, give him backup if he needs it. If he brings out any of his Pokemon, you guys do the same. I need to go back and help the others. If something bad happens, call me."

"Roger"

"Roger"

"Hmmph." the three of them acknowledged, and Kaen dissipated back into the earth.

Narakun came at a jog, skidding around the corner of a large rock.

"How much have I missed?" Narakun asked. Although her eyes were red, they were calm and collected.

"Not much" Ryo said as he guarded himself, ready to take on of Shin's attacks on. "We're trying to stop him without hurting him. It's harder then it looks."

As Narakun took the scene in more carefully, she realized that Ryo did indeed have a point. With all the energy flying around, it would be difficult to get close.

She quickly shifted a few inches to avoid getting hit by an energy sphere. "You don't happen to have a plan, do you?" she asked dryly, although she didn't expect for anyone to have a particular strategy.

"Nope." A grin formed on Ryo's face. Arashi sighed and Satoru smirked. "You got an idea?" he asked Narakun. He then fell back into his fighting stance. "Cover me." he said, and Arashi formed a Light Screen while Satoru formed a Reflect. They both moved to protect Ryo, who charged. The two barriers were able to protect Ryo until he got closer, and they started to crack. They both collapsed, and Ryo was left defenseless. A bigger energy orb hit Ryo in the stomach while he was in mid-air, and he was sent flying back.

"D-dammit." Ryo growled as he tried to get back up to his feet. He wiped the blood that was on his lip.

Roan and Raven suddenly appeared.

"Oh my..." Roan said. "So, do you want me to disrupt anything?"

"Ideas aren't exactly my forte," Narakun said with slight irritation as she took brief cover behind a rock and a wave of energy spheres came flying. "But maybe if we could get him to--"

"Nara-sama!" A familiar blonde came running onto the scene. "This had better be important, 'cuz I was--"

"Tenshii, pay attention, dammit!" Narakun growled angrily as Tenshii very nearly missed getting hit by a blast of energy. "Don't just stand in the line of fire!"

"And more arrive." Ryo smirked. Shin's body stopped firing energy spheres, and started screeching. All of the sudden, a purple flame surrounded him, and when it disappeared, his Dusknoir-fused body was shown. At that moment, Kaen appeared in front of Ryo, just to see what happened.

"Ryo...how long has he been like this?" he asked, his voice trembling

"He just changed."

"Then there's still time. I got the syringe ready, he just needs to be paralyzed for a second, and we might be able to stop him from hurting anybody."

"Right. Arashi! Satoru! Back me up again!" Ryo shouted, and charged. Shin's body let out another screech, and fired an energy blast. Ryo jumped into the air to avoid it, but it hit the left side of his face. He immediately dropped out of the air, his body rolled across the ground, and then crumpled. There was a gash going straight across the left side of his face, and it was bleeding heavily. Kaen, Satoru, and Arashi all gasped in horror.

"RYO!" Kaen howled.

Roan lashed out, and both his and and Shin's body flashed briefly, causing the follow-up energy sphere to dissipate. "Warning," Roan said, "I can only do this twice a day!" He and Raven dodged behind a rock as Durandal arrived on Draco.

Narakun threw a Pokeball into the air as soon as Ryo went down. In a red flash, Sabakurei appeared, knowing instantly what to do. Narakun dove into the shadow behind a rock as Sabakurei flew high above the chaos, dropping a shadow below him. He hovered briefly over where Ryo lay hunched over. Narakun appeared through the shadow and grabbed hold of Ryo before moving back through the shadows to a sheltered rock, protected from the flying energy spheres.

Her forehead was slightly moist from the sudden exertion and extended use of her Faint Attack without being in her Pokemon-based form, but she tore a shred of the absorbant cotton fabric from the hem of her pants, which she used to start cleaning off the blood from Ryo's face.

"Narakun, can't you just clean it off when we get back home? You don't hafta mess up your clothes like that!" Tenshii said, somewhat appalled that Narakun would so casually ruin her clothes.

"If we wait that long without cleaning it, the gash could get infected," Narakun replied with a grimace.

((Nah, that's fine. I wasn't sure how Ryo would be saved anyway. xD))

Heh...sorry...guys" Ryo gasped, and shuddered, then passed out. ((dramatic, no?))

"Damn it. Let's get this over with. Fast." Kaen growled, his fists clenched.

"Woah- what the heck is going on here?" Durandal asked. It seemed that the end of the invasion of the island wasn't going to end the weird days it had.

"We'll explain later. Get cover!" Raven replied. Durandal recalled Draco and hurriedly joined his brother and cousin.

Kaen sent out Dokuro, and had him use Protect around Narakun and Ryo. He left Dokuro with the two, and ran off to help Satoru and Arashi. He injected the liquid into the syringe, and got ready to fire it.

"Guys, hold back, I'm gonna see if I can paralyze Shin." He ordered.

"No problem there!" Durandal called out, still confused.

Tenshii couldn't help a face/palm when Dokuro put up a Protect barrier. "You should have done that when Ryo was charging! Then he wouldn't have been hit in the first place!"

"Tenshii, just shut it," Narakun said, obviously in a bad mood. It was already close to the full moon, and she was out of the fight since she was helping Ryo. It wasn't long before the piece of cloth she'd torn was drenched in blood, and she had to tear another piece from the other leg of her pants. Revealed, strapped in an easily accessible position, was a shining handgun. She sighed when she looked at it. She hated the thing now.

Narakun pressed the button on one of her Pokeballs, releasing her bad-tempered Sneasel. "Akuma, Icy Wind," Narakun said. Akuma froze some ice into the cloth, but not without freezing Narakun's hand to it. Narakun glared at the malevolent weasel Pokemon before smashing her hand against the rock to free her hand. She then pressed the frozen cloth on Ryo's wound, keeping constant pressure.

((Neh, its so boring to not be part of the real action. xD))

Damn it! She's right.... Kaen thought in agony. He grimaced, then focused on Shinichi. An idea struck him, and he pulled out a Pokeball.

"Let's go, Kiba!" he shouted, and the young Poochyena popped out. Kiba spun and looked around, and he wimpered when he saw Shin. Kaen got down on one leg, and spoke to him. "Kiba, I know this is dangerous, but you're a dark type. The energy Shin is overloading on is Ghost-type, so you have the advantage without getting hurt as bad. I'd like you to help me stop Shin. You're getting older and stronger, if anything goes wrong I'll make sure you're okay. Now, do you want to try and help me?" he spoked and smiled gently. The young Poochyena nodded, and got into a battle stance. Kaen stood up. Arashi and Satoru covered Kaen and Kiba. Arashi and Satoru reformed the Light Screen's and Reflect's, and added Barrier's to enforce it more. Kaen ran into the field with Kiba sprinting at his side. Kiba ran into the path of some of the spheres, allowing himself to get hit.

"Kiba, Payback!" he ordered, and Kiba pounced onto Shin, swiping his claw at Shin's body, doubling the damage he caused. Shin backed up, and was about to be knocked over. "Dark Pulse!" Kaen commanded, and the Poochyena flipped into the air and shot a black-dark purple beam from his mouth, hitting Shin and overpowering his spheres, stopping them. The Poochyena hit the ground, and stood back up, panting. All of the sudden his body began to glow white, and grew bigger. It faded, and it had shown that Kiba evolved into a Mightyena, the white lightning bolt on his forehead grew into a bigger, jagged lightning bolt that went down his face sideways .

"Kiba! No way..." Kaen murmured, tears of happiness forming from his eyes. He then ran over to Shin, who shifted back to his normal form. Kaen looked for a vein, and stuck the syringe in, and injected the liquid. Shin's body stiffened, then relaxed, as if he was sleeping.

"This will be a mental battle now...." Kaen muttered. He looked at Kiba, and grinned, then his face grew somber as he looked upon Ryo. Satoru and Arashi both slumped to the ground, tired, letting their defense walls shatter.
