Footholds

Theas walked down the halls. His satchel was filled with equipment. He was a dark skinned man with a brown leather overcoat. He quickly scanned the halls. He could feel the life emanating(sp) from the students in the dorm.

Heas walked towards Narakum's office and knocked on the door. He awaited his answer.

(((Indeed, we did. And now for Heas to run into some trouble... And for me to introduce a new character!)))

An older looking man emerged from seemingly nowhere- indeed, he hadn't been in the hallway a second before. He had grayed hair with white streaks in it, and had gnarled hands. However, he faced appeared to only be that of someone of 60 years or so. Thr rest of his body was covered in white robes a monk might've worn and he carried a golden staff with a glowing red gem sitting atop it. He approached Heas with an annoyed air.

"And who might you be? I sensed Uriah here; but you are not him. You are not a Seal of any sort; you are human. Who are you, that has the signature of my kin?"

((Um, typo, his name is Theas))

Theas looked at the new man. He had caught no sign of anyone but normal humans here. A shame really, considering the treasure trove that was the island. But this man had a strong aura about him. It wasn't natural.

"Signature? I don't know what you're talking about."

He eyed the aura that surrounded this man. How he had appeared, none could say. All Theas new was that he had power.

"I don't know of this seal of yours, but I know you're not human. I assume you have your own agenda. We're all fine with you guys doingwhat you please, as long as you don't but heads with my master. Unless, you might want to help me..."

Theas compared his own aura to the elderly man. He couldn't tell if they were equal or not. All he knew was that a fight would ruin the opperation.

Narakun's door slammed open.

"You'd better have something REALLY important to say if you're bothering the headmaster of this dorm! And I wouldn't linger too long if I were you, considering this is the girls' dorm," Narakun growled irritably. "Shouldn't everyone be at that party in the cafeteria or something anyway?" she asked with a glare.

Theas bowed. "Forgive me, I needed a word for me. I just stumbled along this man. Now, I have a son that attends this school. He should have dark hair and silver eyes. If you could direct me to his dorm room, I would be much bolgied."

He had important things to do. He had to prepare the footholds for his master.

Narakun eyed Theas suspiciously. He definitely didn't look to be of any relation to Pyrex, but what did she care?

"Boys' dorm, which is the next hallway, four doors down," she said.

"I am much obliged for your kindness. Thank you."

He bowed and began to walk away. He glanced at the elderly man. He had essentially ruined his plan. He might as well become useful.

"I don't your name, but If you want to be for me, then you should come with me. If not, adios." He thought spoke to the elderly man.

"We shall see." Renault said, vanishing into the shadows as if he had never existed.

And even as he did so, another figure, a purple-cloaked boy of about seventeen with red eyes, golden skin, and black hair emerged from the shadows as Renault had done. This boy/man carried a longbow and had a quiver of arrows attached to his cloak.

"That fool grandfather of mine. He doesn't realize that we've already found him, or that when Sonia returns with the Fangs, it'll be over for him." He muttered. Then he suddenly saw Theas and Narakun. "OH! Sorry. Didn't see you there. I'm Denneth. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

(((Pyrex, just so you know, Denneth was part of the same project as his grandfather, but didn't side with him.)))

"Well, Denneth, nice abbility you have there, I must be going,"

[i]"Denneth, if oyu have relations with the elderly man, I would like to have a word with him some time."

((My entire original idea is ruined, but let's see where this goes.))

"We... Don't talk much, anymore. However, I do have a... Relative who might be interested in meeting you."

"That would be most kind of you,"

((Italics is Thought Speak, btw))

"Then let us go." Denneth began to walk out from the hall.

(((Denneth isn't capable of telepathy.)))

((Sorry Narakun for invading your dorm room. Heheh, I had plans, but whatever. They'll come to be later, I guess.))

Denneth led Theas to a corner near te edge of the dorm and out of Narakun's sight and hearing.

"Okay. What are you here for? Answer honestly if you value you life. You don't have to tell me everything, just your specific, immediate objective. If it benefits my master, I may be able to help you." Denneth whispered, his voice so soft that it was barely audible, even to himself.

"We look for a boy, his research, and that is all for now," said Theas. He placed his hand ins his pocket and pulled out a stopwatch. He looked into it, and squinted.

"The boy and the research will come soon. But you guys, you're an anomoly. A work of scientific art. My master will want to know about you people."

"And which boy would this be? Also, how do we catch him? And yes, I suppose your master would desire to know about us. After all, Jirachi awakens more frequently than Incarnates are born- and rarer still that they ever create Morphs or Seals."

"My master does not care for myths, he finds them to be silly. But you are a specimen to behold. And catching the boy will be easy with the right leverage. Some say he's just like his father. And as to the name of the boy, I do not know. He has yet to reveal his new name. Seals and morphs... My master has only sent me to get the boy. I will tell him of you, he might be interested. Now I must insist that you leave," said Theas.

He began to walk towards the headmaster's door.

A firm hand grabbed Theas's shoulder from behind and roughly turned him around.

"While I don't exactly take a liking to my student, I don't appreciate anyone causing further dangers to him. He gets into enough trouble on his own," Narakun growled. Her eyes had turned red.

Denneth stepped back. "My master... Has the essence he requires. Foolish teacher, you may tremble and despair. As for you, runner, you may yet have a chance." And with that, Denneth vanished.

"Too many new creeps showing up," Narakun muttered.

Although she silently laughed at the thought of herself trembling and despairing.

(((Gaah! I don't have a char to post here- atm, anyway. As this moves along I might...)))

Theas laughed.

"You know, everyone has a little pocket of aura in their brain. It's all a matter of using it. But when one doesn't channel it correctly, it builds up. Teacher? Do you know what it feels like to die? I could teach you."

"I have a simple request, I need that boy. And if I don't get him, you will die."

((Um.... Bam!))
