The Dead

Pyrex was rushed in on a stretcher. The nurse looked down at the injured boy. She wondered what all had happened ,but wondering had to wait, this boy was one of the dead for now.

Pyrex woke up and looked about him. He was in the hospital, the nurse was looking down on him.

"Well boy, that was on accident you had. I do believe that the offical statement was you near drowned. I've been up all night fixing you back up. It hs been a struggle. You are probably the most beaten up patient to walk into this office."

Pyrex woke up and saw the night sky. No one had visited him yet. He hoped that no one would. His secret was out. Sometimes he wished that Mitsuki might have won and that he would not have to face the wrath of his headmaster. His Idol would come in one day and reveal all. It was but a matter of time.

The Nurse was back. He had been in that room for 2 days now. She was bringing him some food. Blanc was resting on his lap. He could hardly move, he forced all of his energy into saying.

"Thank You."

The Nurse nodded and left.

((This is my response thread to Mitsuki, call it the after bit. Have fun!))

A chilled breeze blew through the room for a moment, and as if from nowhere, Natsuki was leaning against the wall next to an open window.

She walked over to him and thought-spoke to him. "Since it must hurt for you to talk, we can communicate like this."

She was silent for a moment, then thought: "Are you feeling any better?"

"Get out of my head... I can talk." said Pyrex. He grabbed a now cold piece of toast from the side of the bed taking large bite.

"I'm feeling fine I guess, as fine as you can be when a supervillain attacks your home, you fight the supervillain, the supervillain beats you, and then you're locked in a corner without any information. Do you know the feeling? No, because you haven't lived my life. I don't know your name but I can tell we are polar opposites. You're a runner, and I'm a stayer, but we both fight when need be. Polar Opposites, yet we both attract metal, and trouble." Pyrex said.

"So I'd first like to know what happened. For all I know my friends are dead. Then, a name would be nice, but what is in a name? Just somehting to call someone by. You can keep your name your own, althought I do believe my name's already been revealed. Information, please."

Natsuki glared at him for a short chilling moment.

"Considering that the options usually are run or die, I can hardly be blamed. now can I? I get the feeling you've been in the same situation at least once before." She said, a silence piercing the room. Pursuing the matter would get then nowhere fast., so Natsuki continued.

"Everyone's alright." She began. "Aima had some of the worst injuries, so Hitorii came did some healing. She's recovered faster than she would've if I'd done the treatments.

Narakun seemed fine when last I saw her, though I haven't seen her since we left the lake.

And as for me..."

She paused.

"My name is Natsuki. I'm Aima's younger sister."

"Pyrex... of running and dying... I have done it but once. And that was when I was younger. So, I guess in away we are both runners, and both fighters." said Pyrex.

"Do you know who I am? Or, who I was before this big incident. Do you know who I was? This changes more than you think. But I guess the important thing is that we've won."

"How is the weather, there are no windows here..."

"Oi...Kaen told me you got pretty banged up, kid." Ryo said as he entered the room with Rei behind him. When he saw Natsuki, he nodded to her, and continued. "So...what happened? I missed out on the last battle because I was looking for someone..."

Natsuki was silent for another moment, before saying: "I caused an overload in Mitsuki's power with some aura boosting tablets Narakun gave me. I encased them in ice and used an Ice Shard attack to get it into her system. When she tried to launch an Aura Sphere, the attack overcame her and she was destroyed."

She seemed a little annoyed that she had to recount the tale, but it didn't show much in her voice.

((Nhh, my secondary chars left. D:))

"Really? An overload in aura? I've never heard of anything like that. Then again, people with pokemon powers and aura use is pretty hard to find. Who thought of all that?" said Pyrex.

((I know that kind of feeling, you could try a way to play into it I guess.))

"All what?" Natsuki said coldly, a little unsure as to what Pyrex was getting at.

((Yay, I'm back. :'D))

"Everything, that entire plan. Aura overload? Who thought up that?" asked Pyrex. He needed this information.

Natsuki was silent for a long while, before speaking. ((She's good at doig that. >_>))

"That would be me." She said. "I didn't know if it would work, but it was the best strategy I could come up with given the circumstances."

"So, you pulled some improv. Thinking on the feet and such. Tell, what will you do when the next one comes? How about the one after that? As long as you have these kinds of people together in one place more and more people will start coming." said Pyrex. It had all been assumption no one was his equal, for now.

Natsuki gave him a long cold stare that indicated that she was tired of being questioned. The temperature in the room seemed to drop a couple of degrees.

"Funny, I was going to ask you the same thing." She said coldly, her icy-blue eyes piercing the very atmosphere. "We are more alike than you think, Young Master Fale. In one way or another..."

((Pshh, she calls him young master, but they're the same age. xD))

She was silent once more, then turned towards the open window.

"If you have nothing else to say, I will be on my way..." She wasn't pleased about where the conversation was going, and had already answered the questions she felt acceptable to answer.

"More alike?" asked Pyrex. Pyrex knew what she was saying. As people had been hunting her, someone was going to be hunting him. Those murderers.

"How do you knows so much about me?" asked Pyrex.

Natsuki kept her back turned to Pyrex, staring at the open window intently.

"I actually don't know that much." She said looking over her shoulder at him. "But when one who is supposed to be a fool holds himself in battle so well, one would assume that there is more that meets they eye."

She was of course referring to the Gyarados, and how he'd managed to turn it against his controller.

"It seems many of us are here because of the same reason."

"It seems like coincidence to me. I guess, I am not what I am," said Pyrex with a smile.

"One day you might learn more abot me. Maybe someday soon. but remember this, I helped you, you're going to have to help me one day. I can do more than control a Gyarados."

And what made you so sure I could speak words into your head?

Natsuki kept her eyes locked on Pyrex. "That would go without saying." She said. "I pay what I owe."

She narrowed her eyes. "And as for the thought-speak, not all the members of the conversation have to have special abilities. As long as at least one individual can think into other people's minds, a link can be successfully be established and used.

But I digress. I figured you must've had thought-speak abilities to turn the Gyarados against Mitsuki." She thought to Pyrex entirely.

Fair enough. You're smart in that respect. But you need more than intellect for what is going to come. I know what is coming. something you might not kow, and I trust you will keep this a secret, I can read the future. And believe me, it isn't pretty. Pyrex looked up at the ceiling.

I didn't know people had that much blood.

"Oi...this is all interesting..." he muttered in a sarcastic tone"But you still never told me what you were doing in your room that one time... Maybe now would be a good time." he said as Rei stepped forward, holding up a bone in his hand.

"Nothing anyone should be concerned about. Just listening to a reocrding I made. I have a terrible memory," said Pyrex.

Natsuki listened to Pyrex, seeming to become distant for a moment as if thinking about something.

She seemed to come to a conclusion, and she smirked. And with that smirk, the temperature dropped a bit more than it had with her glare.

All the thought to him was: "We shall see. The future works in mysterious ways..."

A small moment of cold silence settled once more, then she said aloud: "I think I should be getting back to Aima. When she awakens, she'll be wondering where I am."

She nodded at Pyrex, and bowed to Ryo, since he was her superior.

"Good night, both of you."

And then she left through the open door, her presence making a passing nurse shiver a little.

"Good Night," mumbled Pyrex. He looked up at Ryo. "Have you anything to say?"
